Trick or Treating

Authored by Leandro Delgado
While we were trick or treating this year through the neighborhood, I noticed how many of our neighbors had security systems installed in their homes, or at least had the sign out in their yard. I was surprised to see how many neighbors had a system installed, because I never thought of our neighborhood as a high crime area, or that anyone would want to come in here and steal from us. We are just your basic, working class neighborhood. I can’t imagine someone wanting to come in and steal what we have. It did get me thinking, though, that maybe the neighbors aren’t as worried about being robbed as they are some other kind of violence. I mentioned it to my husband, and he said that we should look into getting a home security system as well. It seems sort of extravagant to me, but whatever. I am often behind the times, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if I was behind the times with this as well. It won’t be the first time, or the last time.

An Other day of Window Shopping

With spring coming so quickly to the U.P. of Michigan so incredibly early this year, I have been window shopping via the internet. I found this cool website that I wanted to tell you all about. It is I have found so many things that I could use around my house.
I was checking out indoor hammock chair. I would love an indoor hammock chair for in the boys tiny little bedroom, that way if it were not being used it could be tied to the wall. Tied to the wall it would be up out of the way not taking up precious floor space.

I was also looking at the kohler finial french gold light fixtures. I could not make up my mine as to which one I would like to use in my living room. Oh Yeah and the robert allen lighting torchiere bronze.
I liked also and could decide which one I liked the best. I guess I should really wait until the end of summer when we plan to redo living room and boys rooms to actually choose which one I am going to purchase.

Getting a handle on my daughter's accessories

Guest post written by Em Morgan
I know that it's good for our budget that my daughter mainly gets all of her things from thrift stores because she's a little fashionista. But that doesn't' mean that the sheer size of her collection of clothing and accessories is a problem. That especially goes for her accessories. There are just so many of them and she's really run out of room for all of them. So I told her that we need to figure out some way to organize them during her spring break.
She said that would be fine if that meant that she didn't have to get rid of any of her stuff, but I think I might still make her get rid of the stuff she never wears any more. I looked up some handy accessories organizational tips for my daughter and while I was looking around, I read some debt counseling information and after I did that I decided to try and get some counseling for our family's finances.
I'm buying a few different plastic bins to use to store all of her stuff. I'm also sending her back to her dorm with some of them too so she can keep her stuff there organized.

Costume Super Center - Costume Review

Everyone knows how little boys love to dress up! My two boys are no different. When we were given a chance to do a review of a costume we jumped with excitement! has a wonderful selection of boys cartoon costumes in stock. They offer free shipping both ways on all size and costume exchanges.

I let my youngest son pick the costume, he chose Spongebob. What 8 year old boy does not love Spongebob, right!? When the costume arrived I was so said that I had to wait for the bus to come for Noah to try it on. It is a two hour wait from mail time to bus time I was like a child on Christmas morning!! Noah was so excited when he got home and I told him he could try it on right away. He did a happy dance for me and the camera!! He knew that mama was ready for photos for the blog. :) I am very impressed with the quality of this costume, the details are life like.  Noah has slept in this costume a number of times and to my complete amazement the costume still looks great. The shoulders are still standing up like in this photo. We are having a costume ball for New Years Eve. Noah is ready and going as SpongeBob.

For a limited time is offering a discount of 20% with the coupon code NY20.

*This is not a compensated post. We did receive a complimentary costume for review purposes. All opinions expressed are my own. I, personally would recommend to a friend with costume needs.

We looked into clear 4g reviews and ended up upgrading our service. I have learned about this great new website that has really sparked my interest. It is called Miller’s Antiques. I love antiques and often buy, sell, and trade. When people ask me what I collect , I tell them anything and everything old. Of course, I have some of my favorite things like estate jewelry, china, and vintage linens, but I also like a lot of other things. The cool thing about this website is that it has a free huge glossary with thousands of entries. Anything that you want to know about antiques you can find on the sites. Over the last couple of days, I have been making an effort to start reading through it. I haven’t even made it through the “A’s” yet, but I have learned a lot already. I told my parents about the site. The have started using it and like it to. It is really broadening my knowledge base about antiques. I feel like a much more confident collector now!
